FLOW SIGHT GLASS TYPE 550 WITH A CAST BODY PN16-PN40
SHORT DESCRIPTION - FLOW SIGHT GLASS TYPE 550 WITH A CAST BODY
The ACI flow sight glass Type 550 with a cast casing is a solid flow sight glass for flange installation.
Type 550 is available in a range of steel and stainless-steel alloys with pressure equipment approval, such as GG25 or 1.4408. Other alloys according to your specifications can also be supplied on request.
The Type 550 flow sight glass is supplied as standard with flanges according to DIN EN 1092-1, but we can also apply other standards such as ASME B16.5 and even customised flanges according to your specifications.
Sealing for Type 550 is done with tried and tested flat materials from well-known manufacturers such as KlingerSIL C4400 or Frenzelit novaphit MST. Pure or modified PTFE is also available, as well as Garlock Gylon and a wide range of further sealing materials.
For higher operating temperatures or alkali media, it is possible to fit the viewing window with an additional mica protective layer.
It is possible to integrate cleaning devices such as wipers with PTFE silicone or NBR wiper blades or spray jets. Lighting with halogen or LED bulbs, also with ATEX approval, is likewise available on request.

Rotor plastic (120°C) or PTFE:
A liquid flow is indicated through rotation of the rotor. As a result, flow control is much easier and quicker to detect.
Vacuum version with O-ring:
In this case of vacuum, there is a risk whereby the gasket can be pulled inwards and the external medium can enter the valve. For medium vacuum, a PTFE seal should be used, for higher vacuum, or O-ring seal made of Viton is required.
Flap made of 1.4571:
A liquid flow is indicated by opening and moving the flap. In this way it is easier and quicker to check the flow rate.
Double glazing ensures additional safety in case of damage to inner glass. The additional glass prevents distribution of medium and possible glass splinters in case of damage or even destruction of the inner glass.
