Tubular flow sight glasses type 622 with thread connection

SHORT DESCRIPTION - TUBULAR SIGHT GLASS WITH THREADED CONNECTION

The ACI tubular sight glass with threaded connection Type 622 is based on our established model 620, but designed for installation using a female thread.

As our tubular sight glass type 620, the main component is a glass tube made of industrially proven borosilicate glass 3.3, enclosed by two solid steel or stainless steel flanges. The flanges are manufactured from pressure equipment steel P265GH or corrosion resistant stainless steel 1.4571, depending on your requirements. For exceptional applications, we offer special materials like Hastelloy or duplex steel alloys on request.

As sealing material we use virginal PTFE by default, alternatively metal reinforced graphite or elastic EPDM gaskets. Other materials are available on request. Like in our type 620, the required compression is applied using threaded rods that simultaneously protect the glass tube from crushing or bending forces. For installation in active plants we recommend adding a polycarbonate impact protection. This robust plastic layer reliably shields the sensitive glass tube from falling parts, tools or other objects, effectively increasing the sight glass life time.

Type 622 is, like all our tubular sight glasses, tested for pressure resilience to ensure compatibility with the expected operating pressure of up to 16 bar.
